Provo Canyon School in Utah attends to the academic and clinical needs of students through an acuity-based care model designed to identify individual strengths and provide continuous support throughout their residency. With the assistance of a highly trained interdisciplinary team, Provo Canyon School offers specialized programs that include the High School Boy’s Program.
This program accepts adolescent boys aged 13 to 18 with behavioral and mental health challenges that make it difficult for them to succeed in a traditional school environment. Providing short-term stabilization and long-term residency, it focuses on therapeutic intervention and support through a faculty of accredited general and special education teachers. A team of full-time psychiatrists and nurses also deliver a broad range of medical and behavioral services.
Services maintain a diagnostic focus with assistance for numerous disorders and behaviors, including anxiety, substance abuse, and social development and conduct disorders. Beyond this, the program guides students in developing skills for social interaction and independent living. Students will also receive special assistance for learning disorders and appropriate accommodations through individualized education plans.
